Bianka Bisdorff TrialProsecution seeks 15 years imprisonment for mother

RTL Today
The trial surrounding the missing infant Bianka Bisdorff concluded on Thursday.

The prosecution are now seeking 15 years imprisonment for the mother as they consider it impossible that the child is still alive. Bianka would be 7 years old today. Luxembourgish media have quoted the prosecution as saying that the responsibility of her death lies with the mother.

On Thursday, the recording in which the mother allegedly admitted to killing the baby was played in court.

In the recording, the mother’s flatmate can be heard accusing her of killing the child, an accusation which the mother does not refute. “You won’t find her. I looked. She is no longer there…,” the mother says in the recording.

The two-week process was not without challenges. There has been no body and only circumstantial evidence. The main defendant has not appeared in court and has also refused to testify.

The prosecution argued that because the mother did not participate in the trial and that there is an"unfortunate” danger the story may repeat itself, she should not be granted parole.

The verdict will be announced on 8 February.
