Two public petitions recently crossed the threshold of 4,500 signatures, making them eligible to be discussed in the Chamber of Deputies.
Both issues have been the subject of previous petitions.
One petitioner argues that families should have the option to choose between registering their children in daycare or receiving an additional parental allowance, allowing them to care for their children themselves. The petition author argues that at present, low-income families are not in a position to decide how to educate and raise their children.
The proposal has already received more than 4,500 signatures and will remain eligible to collect signatures for a further 29 days.
The second petition to cross the signature threshold is a proposal to ban battues in the country. The petition author argues that this hunting practice is dangerous for people and represents torture for animals.
The proposal can still be signed for another 15 days.
