According to IKEA Belgium, the extension will be complete by spring 2023.

IKEA Arlon is a perennial favourite with both Luxembourgers and Belgians.

In 2021 the site underwent extensive modernisation. Now the store, which already stands at an astonishing 35,500m², is set to expand again.

On Wednesday, extension work began on the site. Mayor of Arlon Vincent Magnus was present at a ceremony to inaugurate the site, with Chris Burman, IKEA Arlon market manager, laying the foundation stone.

The expansion will facilitate an increase in demand for home deliveries and Click & Collect services

IKEA are investing over 5 million euros in the project. In a press release, the Swedish home retail giant said the expansion is part of its investment in the region, "with the aim of improving the everyday life of both co-workers at work and customers at home."
