Ukrainian refugees in Luxembourg will be able to retain their temporary protection status for another year, as the government extends the scheme until 4 March 2027 and calls on beneficiaries to renew their documents promptly.

Ukrainian refugees may benefit from a further year of temporary protection status in Luxembourg. The Ministry of the Interior confirmed that the mechanism, which entered into force following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, will be extended until 4 March 2027.

Documents must be renewed as a result of the extension. Those concerned will be contacted via post, according to the Ministry’s immigration office. Recipients are encouraged to begin the process as soon as possible.
