On Tuesday, the Court of Cassation in Paris announced its decision to allow the extradition of the Luxembourgish businessman to the United States.

The Court of Cassation, one of the four courts of last resort in France, thereby rejected Schneider's appeal against an earlier decision issued by the court of appeals in Nancy. The US judiciary has accused the Luxembourgish businessman of being involved in fraud related to the cryptocurrency OneCoin.

Before becoming an independant entrepreneur with his security firm Sandstone, Schneider worked as an agent for the Intelligence Service of the Luxembourgish State (SREL) where he was also involved in the illegal wiretapping scandal.
