The Minister of Health further stresses that a cooperation between the Medical Centre Potaschberg and a hospital is the only feasible solution to resolve the situation around the new MRI.
As a reaction to the press releases from the Potaschberg Medical Centre and from the Luxembourg Association of Doctors and Dentists (AMMD), Minister Lenert has clarified in conversation with RTL that there is an "agreement in principle". She further conveyed that the administrative board of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) already validated the agreement.
The politician from the Democratic Party (DP) acknowledged that many details remain to be addressed, but ensured that a bilateral desire to cooperate was present. She also admitted that statements she made during an RTL interview last Friday may have been badly formulated.
Minister Lenert explained that two parties have already signed the agreement in principle. The current laws do not permit private medical centres to operate MRIs, which is why the Potaschberg centre has to cooperate with a hospital. She stressed that this is the only possible avenue if the MRI is to remain operational.
