The latest figures show that 1,896 new cases of coronavirus were discovered over the last 72 hours.

Today's update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government no longer publishes coronavirus figures over the weekend.

Approximately 5,000 tests were conducted over the weekend.

Five new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy at 1,050.

There are 31 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, seven more than on Friday, and 3 patients in intensive care, down one from the last update.

There are 14,537 active infections in Luxembourg, while 209,975 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate is at 0.83.

According to today's report, 479,705 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,277,223 doses have been administered in total. 431,090 people have received a second dose. 366,428  people have received an additional booster.
