The fire broke out on the roof of the building shortly after 8pm on Sunday. Around 30 people had to be evacuated and relocated.
According to reports on Monday afternoon, two people were hospitalised following the incident. Further details are not available.
Several brigades were deployed to the scene and a total of 60 firefighters sought to get the flames under control. Emergency service teams from Mertert-Grevenmacher, Luxembourg City, Manternach, Consdorf, Flaxweiler, Wormeldange, and Canach were in action.
Around 9pm, another fire was reported on Rue de Merl in Luxembourg City. Only material damage occurred in this case. Firefighters from Hesperange and Luxembourg City were called to the scene to extinguish the flames.
