Journalists at Reporter.lu conducted and investigation into the national trade register in the context of the Openlux reports. They found that at least 291 minors possess shares of Luxembourgish companies and even have control over them.

Even though Luxembourg tries to limit this practice through legislation, it is still that case that children of oligarchs, criminals, and other influential people hold shares of companies here in the Grand Duchy. However, Reporter.lu did not find any concrete cases of tax fraud.

The Ministry of Justice has created a draft law to counteract violations of the trade register. They announced that an audit will take place to assess the reports concerning minors.
