The young driver lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a roadside tree on the opposing lane.

The accident took place between Useldange and Everlange at 9.30pm on Monday. The young woman succumbed to her wounds at the scene, with first responders only able to officially confirm the death.

The N22 was closed to traffic following the accident while an investigative unit from the police was deployed.

A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after being hit by a motorised vehicle on the Route d'Arlon in Mersch at 6 pm on Monday. Emergency services from Mersch, Colmar, and Lintgen were called to the scene.

Shortly after 9 pm, a car crashed on the A3 motorway with one person being injured in the process. Emergency services from Dudelange and Bettembourg were at the scene.
