Anyone who ordered their hybrid vehicle before 30 September 2021 will receive a government bonus if the vehicle is registered by 31 December 2022.

The Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development announced on Friday that the deadline for first registration under the 'Clever fueren' financial aid scheme will be extended.

This applies to plug-in hybrid electric cars and vans ordered by 30 September 2021.

The decision was made in consideration of the worldwide shortage of conductors which resulted in longer delivery times for new vehicles. To ensure that only vehicles whose first registration was scheduled for 2021 are covered by this extension, the original delivery date will have to be clearly indicated on the sales contract or, in the case of leasing, on the vehicle rental or leasing contract.
