The incident began when the motorcyclist lost control over his vehicle and crashed in the roundabout. However, he was not seriously injured and managed to move himself to the parking lot of a nearby café to recover.
Shortly after, the situation turned dire when the driver of an SUV also lost control in the same roundabout while driving at high speed, according to sources. After missing the turn, the car hit the pavement and skid onto the parking lot where it hit the recovering motorcyclist. The latter was critically injured in the process.
A rescue helicopter was deployed to the scene of the accident, where it was joined by police and firefighters. The road to Dondelange had to be closed for traffic after the accident.
