Basic grant, grant based on social criteria, mobility grant, etc. Since the beginning of August, the various financial aid packages for higher education offered by the Luxembourg State to Luxembourgish and non-resident students can be submitted on MyGuichet.lu.
As of the academic year 2021-2022, the process has been simplified and made more flexible for students who are more mobile-oriented. In concrete terms, the applicant “no longer needs to sign his or her application electronically” and the “application can be made via the MyGuichet.lu app”, the Ministry for Digitalisation said on Tuesday.
The use of the mobile app has another major advantage: “Adding attachments to an administrative procedure has never been easier”, according to the Ministry. By photographing the documents using the camera on their smartphone (or tablet), students can attach them directly to their application, without having to go through a scanner or convert them into PDF files.
This feature is “also available if the student chooses to complete the application on a computer or a traditional laptop”, the Ministry explained, adding that as the months go by, the administrative procedures available on the MyGuichet.lu app “will continue to expand”.
Open for submission since 2 August, the application for the winter semester must be submitted before 30 November.
