The prize was symbolically awarded to the Luxembourg Association of Nurses to thank all workers in the health care sector. The Luxembourg City council wanted to use the opportunity to once more underline the critical importance of these jobs, as well as their important contributions and efforts in the fight against the pandemic.
The Anne Beffort award was first brought to life in 2003 following an initiative by the commission for equality of opportunity. The prize is worth €3,000.
