Children between the ages of 12-17 will be invited for a vaccination against Covid-19, starting with the oldest and most vulnerable, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday afternoon.

The Superior Council of Infectious Diseases has established a list to prioritise the most vulnerable teenagers.

How to book an appointment?

Every teenager will receive an invitation from the Ministry of Health by post, based on their age and priority.

Personalised assistance is also offered through a hotline specially set up for this purpose under the number (+352) 247-65533.

Vulnerable adolescents may register for a vaccine via their GP, and will then receive an invitation by mail.

It is expected that each youngster in this category will have received an invitation within the next 2-3 weeks, the health ministry communicates.

Invitations will be sent as and when vaccine deliveries are made.
