LeudelangeBioneXt LAB criticises involvement of actors in Large Scale Testing strategy

RTL Today
BioneXt LAB, a private laboratory based in Leudelange, has criticised the government's decision in an open letter not to involve all of the country's actors, both private and public, in carrying out free Covid-19 tests as part of the Large Scale Testing strategy.

While generally supporting the government’s initiative to offer tests, BioneXt LAB condemns the “arbitrary” selection process of involving laboratories to do the actual testing.

It further argues that “the person’s freedom of choice for their care provider is no longer respected”. People who would like to be tested at a private lab have to bear the costs themselves, while only one medical analysis lab benefits from the “free” tests of the Large Scale Testing Strategy, the letter reads.

The lab says it is taking legal action against the government on the basis of unfair competition.
