In preparation for the lifting of the curfew and the relaxation of measures from Sunday, the City of Luxembourg will be distributing vouchers for free rapid antigen tests until 15 July.

If the new Covid law is passed as foreseen on Saturday, the curfew will be lifted in Luxembourg and the opening hours of restaurants, bars and clubs will be extended.
Given these relaxed measures, the City of Luxembourg announced on Thursday that it has decided to extend the distribution of vouchers for free antigen rapid tests until 15 July inclusive.

This offer is valid for everyone but specifically targets young people who will be able to take advantage of new opportunities to go out from Sunday 13 June. All the Covid reports of the last few days show that younger people are currently more likely to get infected.

In order to go to a bar or restaurant in the capital, anyone will be able to have a certified antigen test carried out free of charge in one of the eighteen test centres spread throughout Luxembourg City.

The antigen test certification centre (95, Grand-Rue, L-1661), with its extended opening hours, allows for free tests to be conducted, using vouchers available on the spot, including during weekends:

  • Monday - Friday : 7am - 7pm
  • Saturday : 10am - 6pm
  • Sunday and bank holidays : 10am - 2pm

Restaurateurs, café owners and customers can collect their vouchers from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm at the reception of the town hall (Place Guillaume II) and at the administrative building 'Rocade' (3, rue du Laboratoire, L-1911 Luxembourg).
