'Speedmarathon'Driver caught at 182 km/h in 90 zone

Three drivers had to hand over their licences on the spot on Wednesday, as they had been caught at excessive speeds by the police.

The Luxembourg police presented the results of the “Speedmarathon” campaign on Wednesday.

In total, 215 speed checks were carried out across the entire country. Two mobile speed cameras caught nearly 1,150 drivers. 424 people received a penalty notice, with 230 of them having to pay €49 and the others €145.

Police issued 24 fines and confiscated three driving licences on the spot. One of the drivers was caught at 182 km/h in an area with a speed limit of 90 km/h.
