A vehicle came off the road near Grevelsbarrière, between Bertrange and Dippach, resulting in a head-on collision with a tree.
According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the van. Two people are said to have suffered severe injuries.
The road has been closed to allow access for the emergency services, including first responders and firefighters.
