The Luxembourgish Minister of Defence and Deputy MP invited Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer to the Grand Duchy to discuss coronavirus measures, as well as joined efforts on NATO an EU levels.

Both ministers further addressed the situation in the African Sahel region. The CDU politician praised the Grand Duchy for its contributions alongside Germany, France, and Belgium. Although they both agreed that local security needs to be reinforced continuously, Minister Bausch acknowledged that not all problems could be resolved militarily.

During the state visit, it was further announced that Germany and Luxembourg will launch a cooperative project in the domain of cyber security and space surveillance.
