The Federation of Artisans stated that it is a "logical step" for the government to reduce its intervention in the economy as part of its strategy to lead the country out of the crisis.

The Federation made the statement in a press release published on Tuesday.

However, the group added that, in their eyes, it is just as logical and realistic to lift the restrictions at the same time, if the sanitary situation allows for it.

The Federation was responding to the government's announcement that measures regarding partial unemployment and financial compensation will be reduced as of July 2021.

Small and medium sized enterprises are currently vulnerable, which is why the government should take concrete measures to increase productivity, the Federation states.

The current initiatives must be critically analysed, in order to determine whether they actually help in relaunching the economy and maintaining jobs.
