On Wednesday night, artists and audiences were finally able to meet again at the concert hall in Esch-Belval, all under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.

The pandemic has certainly raised questions over what is essential in our societies. For some, music and live shows are as important as sports to others. Yesterday, Rockhal was finally able to launch its first new concert series, entitled "Because Music Matters", an homage to live music.

Five concerts will be held in total, all in the "Club" room inside Rockhal, with a maximum of 100 attendees per show. Audience members have to remain seated throughout, wear a mask, and agree to take a free Covid test both before and after the event. The Ministry of Health thus intends to supervise and evaluate the project.

First up on Wednesday were Glass Museum, a Belgian group that performed on a 360° central stage. The following shows are yet to come:

  • 11 February :  CLEVELAND (special set), electro-house concert in the dark – "EXPERIENCE",
  • 12 February : CLAIRE PARSONS + KLEIN, 360° jazz-soul concert – "EMOTION",
