Two deaths from COVID-19 were reported today, increasing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 592.
12,287 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was 1.44%.
There are 46 patients in standard hospital care, unchanged from yesterday, while the number in intensive care increased by one to 12.
As a reminder, on weekends the government only releases data on the number of tests, cases, deaths and hospitalisations.
According to Friday’s update, there were 2,501 active infections in Luxembourg, while 48,421 patients have recovered from the virus.
The R rate stood at 1.10.
13,256 (+659) people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 3,163 (+353) have received a second dose.
