Due to an increasing number of recalls, the Food Safety Administration has decided to update its list of affected sesame products.
In particular, the list reveals that a growing number of products containing sesame seeds contaminated with ethylene oxide are affected. Currently, these type of products account for 132 entries on the list.
The public is advised not to consume these products. Ethylene oxide is a pesticide which ends up being processed. These types of seeds are being used in flour, baked goods, spices, and other products.
