Out of self-quarantineXavier Bettel tests negative for coronavirus

Prime Minister Xavier Bettel is out of self-quarantineafter returning a negative test for Covid-19.

Bettel went into self-quarantine “as a precautionary measure” after coming into contact with French President Emmanuel Macron during the European Council meeting last week. Macron tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.

Following his COVID-19 test today, the Prime Minister and Minister of State Xavier Bettel has tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Consequently, his precautionary self-quarantine has been lifted”, the Ministry of State confirmed in a statement this Friday morning shortly before 10am.

The Ministry had stressed on Thursday that the PM was not showing symptoms and was continuing to work from home.
