During the month of November the Luxembourg courts declared 131 bankruptcies there 104 bankruptcies during the same period in 2019.
Over the first eleven months of 2020, some 1,145 legal entities have filed for bankruptcy.
This figure is not a huge increase on the figures for 2019 (1,121 bankruptcies) and in 2018 (1,070 bankruptcies).
The bankruptcy statistics are drawn from court decisions, from listings on the Commercial Register and include those filings dated up to December 7 2020.
Given the specific situation related to COVID-19, STATEC expects the number of bankruptcies to increase in the coming months.
