Students can register up until 26 July.
The 2019/2020 school year was a challenge for all involved, whether teachers, students or parents.
The summer holidays will be a welcome respite for many, but will also offer the opportunity to prepare for the next school year for those in need.
From 24 August 2020, the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth will make thematic files for the main disciplines available to students in both primary and secondary education, for different classes.
These files can be be downloaded from
www.schouldoheem.lu.
Each student attending a public school will also have the opportunity to register for remedial courses during the last two weeks of the summer holiday, from 31 August to 11 September.
This offer also applies to students in private secondary schools using the official curriculum.
There is also a helpline available on 8002-9090, until 26 July, for those having issues with registration.
PRIMARY EDUCATION
Catch-up courses are on offer to pupils in cycles 2, 3 or cycle 4.1 for the 2019/2020 school year. These courses cover German, French and mathematics.
At the end of the school year, teachers were given the opportunity to enroll pupils with significant gaps in their education.
Up until 26 July, parents can take the initiative themselves by using the ministry form. Registration can only apply to one subject, so as not to overload the children.
For students in cycles 2.2 and 3.2, lessons will take place from 31 August to 4 September 4.
For students in cycles 2.1 and 3.1, classes will take place from 7-11 September.
For cycle 4.1 students, lessons will be spread over two weeks, from 31 August to 11 September.
Students in cycle 4.2 can also register for refresher courses in secondary education, using the form.
SECONDARY EDUCATION
Lessons for secondary school are aimed at students in years 7 to 2. Two types of courses are offered:
Remedial courses - intended for pupils who have to take a test (subjects: German, English, French, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics);
Refresher courses - intended for students who wish to fill in knowledge gaps (subjects: German, English, French, mathematics).
Students can register using this form for a maximum of two subjects.
