In the last 24 hours, authorities carried out 1,898 tests in the Grand Duchy, taking the total number of tests carried out since the beginning of the outbreak to 72,996.
This week marked a new milestone with fewer than 100 remaining active infections, namely 87 on Friday.
Four patients are currently in intensive care (four on Thursday) while another 30 remain in hospital (38 on Thursday).
Luxembourg has so far recorded a total of 922 hospital recoveries, up from 919 on Thursday.
The reproduction rate (Rt) of the virus still lies at 0.997. The effective reproduction rate (Rt_eff) increased from 0.630 to 0.710.
