Of course, this year, the mass will be held under different circumstances: online. An unprecedented change, which accompanies the event on its 150th anniversary.
The cathedral will hold its masses without physical presence of the faithful. People will have access to the ceremony via an online platform on the Cathol website.
The three Sunday masses on 3, 10, and 17 May will be televised on RTL's second channel at 10.30 am.
The Octave's opening ceremony will be held on 2 May at 4 pm. Pontifical salutes will take place weekdays at 4 pm as well. The capital's cathedral will also be open for personal prayers on weekdays between 11 am and 3.30 pm. This year's sermon will be held by chaplain Jean-Pierre Reiners.
The final cortege, scheduled for 17 May, has been cancelled. The same goes for the annual fair, which will not be held on Place Guillaume II. Pilgrimage to the image of the Holy Mother has also been cancelled.
