"We'll know by Friday at the latest what happens to schools after the Easter holidays," Minister of Education Claude Meisch told RTL.
Health experts are currently joining efforts with the government to determine whether or not Luxembourg's schools will open at all before the summer break.
The mission of the ministry of health is to be prepared for every possible scenario. It was already decided that the exams of final-year classes ("Première") will only cover subject material that was taught at school before 13 March.
Officials explained that they currently believe that the final exams will be held under normal or, if necessary, exceptional circumstances. This would mean that final year pupils will be able to graduate secondary school as usual.
