As of January 2019, there were some 5,900 British people living in Luxembourg - many of whom will likely be unsure as to just how Brexit will affect their lives in the Grand Duchy.

The first thing you need to know is that nothing will change during the so-called transition period, which at current extends until 31 December 2020. It may also be extended by up to two years, if a decision to extend is taken jointly by the UK and the EU before 1 July of this year.

You should also know that there further negotiation still needs to be undertaken, as several aspects of Britains departure from the Union are yet to be agreed.
