The statutory minimum wage in Luxembourg was increased on 1 January 2020, now exceeding €2,100 per month. Retirement is also on the rise.
In line with the salary indexation on 1 January, social incomes have been revised in accordance. The minimum wage in particular has increased to more than €2,100 per month.
Adults without formal qualifications are now entitled to €2,141.99 per month, rising from €2,089.75. Minimum wages for adults with qualifications has increased by €62 and is now €2,570.39 per month.
Teenage employees will also see an increase in minimum wage, as follows:
- aged 15-17: €1,606,50€ (+€39.19)
- aged 17-18: €1,713,60€ (+€41.80)
The minimum pension allowance has also increased to €1,892.77 per month. A list of all social amendments valid from 1 January is available here.
