Each month, ADEM reviews the number of job seekers across the country. On Wednesday, the number reached 15,036 on 21 October 2019 - a yearly increase of 236, or 1.8% according to Statec. The unemployment rate stands at 5.3%. The number of non-resident job seekers registered with ADEM was 2,378 by 31 October, an 8.5% reduction compared to the previous year.
In addition to the unemployment figures, Statec revealed the top 10 most wanted industries by employers in October 2019. These trades alone account for nearly a third of the positions declared last month.
