Prime Minister Xavier Bettel addressed MPs on Tuesday afternoon, detailing his government's general policies in the State of the Nation address.
The speech was preceded by the swearing-in of Green MP Semiray Ahmedova, who is replacing Roberto Traversini as MPs mark the new parliamentary session on Tuesday. Traversini resigned following his involvement in a conflict of interest affair surrounding the construction of a garden shed on protected land.
The State of the Nation address comes at a turbulent time for the government, following the Traversini affair, which has involved Minister for the Environment Carole Dieschbourg, and the CSV proposal to create a new coalition.
The speech has now ended, covering everything from climate change to Brexit and the impending Google data centre in Bissen. MPs will react on Wednesday and Thursday.
