Some happened in the space of several weeks, with the issue re-emerging last week with a fire in Itzig.
The public prosecutor’s office has now officially confirmed that one person has been detained in connection with the fires, following RTL research.
The police investigation identified a man potentially linked to the many fires that occurred in and around Hesperange. The man has been placed in preventive detention whilst the investigation continues.
