The 36th edition of the Migration festival takes place this weekend in Kirchberg! The event is organised by CLAE, the Liaison and Action Committee for Foreigners.

This weekend, the 36th edition of the migration festival is taking place at "Luxexpo the Box" in Kirchberg.

The much-anticipated event gives those who are interested the opportunity to learn about foreign cultures, to taste traditional foods from around the globe and to buy clothes, jewellery and decorations.

The festival also boasts around 400 little shops and information stalls.

Saturday afternoon marked the official opening of the festival, which was kicked off with speeches from the organisers and several politicians. A recurring theme in the speeches: Luxembourg's refreshing multiculturalism and the importance of Europe. In this context, the speakers implored the visitors to vote in the European elections on 26 May.

The Migration Festival will remain open on Sunday until 8pm. Entrance is free.
