Nora Back, president of OGBL, was present at the march on Saturday and voiced her discontent over the housing crisis. Around a thousand protesters assembled in the capital's streets on Saturday, a clear sign of the gravity of the issue, according to the organisers.

Back placed the blame on politicians and their lack of attention to policy details, which has allowed for continuous speculative gains to be made by property owners.

Around twenty organisations assembled the overall crowd on Saturday. "The entire middle class is in danger", stated Jean-Michel Campanella, president of the non-profit organisation "Mieterschutz" (Protection of Renters).

Despite a positive meeting with Minister for Housing Henri Kox (déi Gréng), the event organisers still feel that the proposed measures are insufficient. They accused politicians of lacking the necessary courage to tackle the problem in a concrete manner, even though it is quickly developing into a veritable national crisis.
