
At around 5.30 pm, a head-on collision involving two vehicles occurred on the N12. A driver who was heading from Wiltz to Ettelbruck crashed into a second car while trying to overtake another. The driver in question turned out to be inebriated and was issued a temporary driving ban. No one was seriously injured in the incident.
At about 7.20 pm on Monday evening, police received reports of a vehicle that appeared to have crashed into a ditch near the Ehlerange tunnel on the A13. Despite one lane being closed off to traffic, a second accident occurred during the intervention. A driver crashed their vehicle, which led to one of the tyres bursting. However, instead of stopping their vehicle, the intoxicated driver carried on. Officers were eventually able to stop the individual at the Biff Roundabout.
In rue de la Libération in Dudelange, a driver hit a fire hydrant and crashed into a residential building at around 7.30 pm. The passenger was slightly injured and taken to hospital. Seeing as the alcohol test came back positive, the driver had to hand over their licence on the spot and was issued a temporary driving ban.
Another case of drunk driving occurred in Manternach. A driver refused to stop their vehicle following a speed check. They were allowed to keep their driving licence, but a complaint was filed against them. The driver had an alcohol level of just under 1.2 per mille.
