Police report that the driver, who drove into a pole before crashing into the front of a house, lost control of his car for unknown reasons.
The car flipped over in the process and the driver became trapped in the vehicle. He had to be freed by the emergency services and was then transported to the hospital by an ambulance.
Police was made aware of a car that was zigzagging on the A13 motorway at around 3am on Sunday morning. A patrol car was dispatched and subsequently managed to pull the car over. The driver was found to be above the legal limit, and the police revoked his licence on the spot.
