Police checks6 motorists caught speeding over 141 km/h on N11

On Friday morning police caught a number of speeding drivers on the N11 between Junglinster and Graulinster.

Police confiscated six drivers' licenses as a result and issued driving bans, as the six speeders were caught travelling at 141 kilometres per hour in a 90 kilometres per hour zone. The fastest of the lot was caught at 156 kilometres per hour.

Thirty-eight other motorists were caught speeding at around 20 kilometres per hour in excess of the speed limit. Each received a fine of €145 and had two points deducted from their licenses.

Four drivers were unable to produce valid papers for their vehicles, and were fined €24 each.
