These young AvExs, short for adventurers and explorers, returned to camp this Monday. Over the next ten days, they will be participating in hikes, workshops, and an escape room, amongst other activities.
Alongside the fun and games, Antoine Berchem, the camp’s deputy leader, explains the goal is to teach values of respect and responsibility to the youngsters, in respect to nature and to one other.
This goal is also reflected in the camp’s layout, where the 43 different scouts groups will be spread across four different camps that each represent a natural element.
The camp will last until Thursday, before the tented village near Ettelbruck is removed again.
