Despite a 4.5% decrease in the number of New Year's texts compared to 2023, POST Luxembourg reveals a significant surge in data usage on both New Year's Eve and 1 January compared to previous years.

Sending distant well-wishes to family and friends on New Year’s Eve is a cherished tradition for many. However, this practice has seen a 4.5% decline, with a total of 624,191 text messages exchanged, down from 653,234 the previous year.

In contrast, POST Luxembourg notes a remarkable increase in mobile internet data usage, reporting a total of 248 Terabytes exchanged on its network. This reflects a 48% rise from the previous year’s 168 Terabytes.
