Last week the public prosecutor’s office announced the seizure of 123 kilogrammes of drugs at the start of March. On Good Friday, they announced a further seizure which took place on 6 March.
Officials intercepted a delivery from the USA marked as a package of bath towels. Inside they discovered 253.77 kilos of cannabis, valued at around €1.5 million.
The prosecutor’s office said in a statement it had not been possible to issue communication about this discovery at an earlier date but did not disclose the reason. The case will be subjected to analysis before proceeding with further consequences linked to the investigation.
Much like the previous discovery, this shipment was destined for France, landing in Luxembourg from the United States.
