On average, temperatures were 1 degree Celsius too hot. In July, a record high of 40.8 degrees Celsius was measured in Steinsel, while an unseasonably warm February recorded temperatures of 23.9 degrees Celsiusin Remich.

Fruit and viniculture suffered smaller harvests than usual, while corn crops and animal feed grown in fields and meadows was also affected by the weather.
In terms of precipitation the country was split down the middle, with the north experiencing far too little rain, while the south had too much. The biggest deficit was in Eschdorf with -136mm of rain, while Koerich in the south had 62mm too much.
