The intermediate bulk containers were not properly sealed, leading to large quantities of oil spilling on nearby roads and grass patches. Fortunately, the oil did not reach the ground water. The police has started an investigation and suspects that a lorry or tractor was used to transport the containers.
Specialists had to be called to the scene to clean up the oil spillage and secure evidence.
