Police - Covid-19 Checks150 people fined for violating the curfew

RTL Today
Over the past week, police have conducted 310 checks to ensure compliance with the curfew and Covid-19 restrictions.

Eight reports were drawn up concerning the organisation of private parties or because cafés had failed to comply with health restrictions.

In addition, some 150 people were fined for violating the curfew between 11 pm and 6 am. One such instance occurred on 19 December, shortly before midnight, when the police caught a group of nine people in rue Brill in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The police stated that they would continue their checks, particularly during the festive season. They call on citizens to respect the rules, because the spread of the virus can only be contained if everyone shows solidarity and acts responsibly.
