Close to Dondelange in south-western Luxembourg, police officers spotted a suspicious driver at around 6am on Wednesday morning.

Police officers spotted a suspicious car driving from Dondel in the direction of Born. As it turns out, the driver of the vehicle was wanted by the police because he evaded a police check in early January.

Police officers weren't about to let the driver get away this time and set of in pursuit of the vehicle. Another police check was set up on the N2 in Born. When the driver approached the police check, officers signalled him to stop his car. The driver feigned obedience at first, but stepped on the accelerator when a police officer approached him from the front of the car.

After the delinquent driver almost ran the police officer over, he fled in the direction of Tuntange. The was speeding at 130km/h in a 50km/h residential zone. Police officers lost track of the driver at this point, but tracked him down at his place of work a little bit later.

When police officers checked the driver, they soon realised that he didn't have a valid driver's licence and that the car documents were also not in order.

The car was seized and a complaint was filed against the driver.
