
The CSV party had asked for a joint meeting between the juridical and the law enforcement parliamentary commission, but was told little about their findings.
Laurent Mosar of the Christian social people's party CSV criticised the fact that they were told so little about the current inquiries into the police death in Lausdorn and the police shooting in Bonnevoie, despite having called in the meeting in search for answers.
Ministers Felix Braz and Etienne Schneider invoked the right to confidentiality, saying that the public would be notified as soon as the inquiry has been completed. After the meeting minister for justice, Felix Braz, criticised the CSV MP Laurent Mosar's "lax handling" of the separation of powers.
However, it was revealed that September will see the start of a pilot scheme which will include equipping police officers with body cams. Violence committed by on-duty officers will be prosecuted more vigorously in the future.
