Police officers were on duty on Route de Luxembourg in Bridel from 10 pm to 11.30 pm on Thursday night, as well as in Bertrange on Route de Longwy from 0.30 am to 2 am.

Of the 112 who were on the road there during these hours, six had had too much to drink, but none had their driving licence taken away.

However, other cases of drunk driving were reported later on, such as on Rue Wiltheim in the city at around 4 am. Here a driver lost control of his vehicle and caused an accident without injuries. As the man had drunk too much, his driving licence was provisionally taken away.

In Hesperange on Route de Thionville, a motorist was stopped at around 1.20 am as he approached a police patrol in the wrong lane. Again, the man had had one too many and his driving licence was provisionally revoked.

The last police report of drunk driving was in Bivange, where a driver was zigzagging at 3 pm. The car was found shortly afterwards and again the motorist was proven to be drunk. Her licence was provisionally taken away.
