Luxembourgish airline Luxair has announced that it will cancel all flights to Italy until 3 April. Other destinations are also affected.
The cancellation was announced on Wednesday morning, with the airline stating that "all flights to Milan, Venice, Roma and Florence are cancelled until 03/04/2020."
The airline states that the last flights to Milan will be on 12 and 13 March, and the last ones for Rome on 12 and 15 March.
From 15 March onward, no further Luxair flights to Italy will be in operation until 3 April. All affected Luxair customers will have their tickets refunded.
Speaking to RTL, Luxair confirmed that the epidemic will also have repercussions on the frequency of flights to other destinations - including Munich, London, Geneva, Paris and Hamburg. The airline expects a 15% reduction overall to the frequency of flights. However, the situation is evaluated on a daily basis and may change at short notice.
